What are the incoming wire material tests for wire harness processing plants?

As people's requirements for quality of life increase, wires are an indispensable part of life, and their safe use is increasingly valued. Although the ISO9000 safety certification system has become popular, there are still a large number of unqualified products in the wire and cable market. The existence of these products has seriously affected the healthy development of the market and violated the principle of UL certification.     1. Dimension and appearance inspection:

  • Check the UL number on the wire to ensure that the supplier's UL certificate is valid.
  • Verify the authenticity and validity of the UL certification report.
  • Check whether the appearance is clean and whether the actual size meets the requirements of the specification.

    2. Withstand voltage test:

  1. Perform AC 300V withstand voltage test to ensure that the product can work normally under rated voltage.
  2. Each product must pass the withstand voltage test before leaving the factory, and the test report is provided by the wire supplier.

    3. Aging test:

  1. During storage, wires and cables should avoid contact with acidic, alkaline or corrosive substances, and be stored separately in a dry and ventilated warehouse with a relative humidity not exceeding 75%.
  2. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent premature aging of the insulation layer.

    4. High and low temperature impact test:

  • Test under high temperature (140 degrees) and low temperature (-30 degrees) conditions to ensure that the wires will not crack or be damaged under extreme temperature conditions.
